Pure Protein Shakes
Everyone loves shakes, and if you’re going to drink a high protein shake, you should choose a pure protein one.
Protein is essential for lean muscle growth, maintaining muscle mass, raising metabolic rates and overall health. Pure protein shakes are an easy way to supplement your daily protein intake.
The average person living a healthy lifestyle should be able to consume more than enough protein in their diet if it contains foods such as meat, fish, dairy products, fruit and nuts. But if you are training to increase your muscle mass, you need to consume at least twice the amount of protein. It is also recommended you consume this protein over 6 or 7 smaller meals throughout the day.
Unfortunately, due to the lifestyles we lead, it is not realistic or practical to be at home creating all these healthy, high protein foods. Not so bad if you have your own personal trainer and chef! But for the rest of us, the only way to get this extra protein, spread throughout the day is to take some form of supplement such as pure protein shakes and/or pure protein bars.
Protein shakes are perfect for people who workout and then need to get back to work or whatever else during the day. They are convenient, portable and contain around 35 grams of muscle building protein.
Pure protein shakes aren’t only great for muscle growth; they are also good for anyone needing a meal replacement as part of a healthy living diet. I know people who have undergone gastric bypass surgery and need to consume protein and very little else, especially during the first few weeks. Pure protein shakes are just what they need as they contain very little else other than protein.
There are many companies online where you can source your pure protein shakes from. More often than not, you’ll be able to find them cheaper than in stores due to the lower overheads online stores have.
One of the leading manufacturers of pure protein shakes is World Wide Sports and you will find many online retailers offering their products, including pure protein shakes.

You’re right protein supplementation is critical for anyone working to build muscle. As you say, it’s not realistic to carry around 6 chicken breasts and the like to eat throughout the day, so supplements are needed.
I usually eat these protein bars during the afternoon and before dinner. Besides contributing to the formation of muscle mass, it have a high satiety effect, which is my main aim.
I’ve been doing protein shakes for awhile now, definitely helps put on muscle but its not always easy drinking these every day.
I’m just wondering, would it be a healthy diet, specially if you want to loose weight, if you will only consume protein supplements? I have been wanting to loose weight but it seems that nothing is working for me.
I love protein shakes and it is very helpful aspecially after a heavy workout.I especially like optimum nutrition brands. They are great and they taste like milkshakes!
I find protein shakes extremely useful if your on the go or don’t have time to make up a protein packed snack but i have never tried the bars. Making sure that you buy pure protein is very important though as i dread to think what some of the companies decide to put in their shakes.
